EINHUNDERT AND GETEC TO ADVANCE ELECTRICITY FOR TENANTS IN THE QUARTERS OF THE FUTURE
GETEC has entered into a partnership with EINHUNDERT to implement tenant electricity projects in residential quarters. The recently founded joint venture GETEC Mieterstrom GmbH will promote tenant electricity models from photovoltaics and combined heat and power (CHP) plants in neighborhoods of the future for GETEC customers. The companies will contribute their respective expertise to meet the growing demand from neighborhood customers for innovative and climate-friendly tenant electricity solutions and thus make a substantial contribution to reducing CO2.
Heat, electricity, e-mobility, smart home: the demand for sustainable supply concepts in residential quarters is great. Since the beginning of the year, GETEC as the market leader in the field of decentralized energy services and EINHUNDERT as a specialist for scalable and digital tenant power solutions have been pooling their expertise to make neighborhoods of GETEC's customers more forward-looking and efficient. The obligation to install PV systems on all newly built non-residential buildings such as company roofs or halls, which has been introduced in some federal states since the beginning of the year, as well as the prospect of a general obligation to install photovoltaic systems on all new buildings as well as existing buildings, goes hand in hand with an enormous administrative, technical and logistical effort. GETEC Mieterstrom GmbH was founded as a professional partner for the upcoming challenges.
"The decarbonization of the building stock is the most urgent task for real estate companies that want to continue to operate successfully in the future. In this context, supplying tenants and building technology with locally generated electricity is of crucial importance. This is all the more true in times of enormous electricity price volatility. We are therefore very pleased to be able to provide our software-based service for scaling tenant electricity and smart metering to GETEC's many customers as well," said Dr. Ernesto Garnier, CEO EINHUNDERT Energie GmbH.
"The future in the building sector belongs to innovative and climate-friendly neighborhood solutions. Sustainable heat and energy supply systems must be perfectly matched to the requirements of our customers. GETEC not only brings extensive expertise on green, efficient and economical energy solutions to the cooperation, but also has enormous experience in the field of tenant power solutions from CHP units with over 1,700 customers in 20 neighborhoods. Together with a strong partner in PV tenant power like EINHUNDERT, we thus offer our customers an ideal combination," explains Michael Lowak, CEO GETEC Germany.
The supply potential in the quarters of the future is several 1,000 residential units in the coming years and is to be successively equipped with highly efficient energy generation systems.
