The partnership is founded on a strong level of cooperation between the experts on both sides: Röhm retains responsibility on site as the leaseholder and operator of the plant. As a service provider, GETEC will assume responsibility for the optimization and needs-based supply of cooling, steam, electricity, compressed air, water and wastewater treatment. Together, the partners will press ahead with the energy management already established at the site. The contract has been agreed for a period of 15 years, with the energy operations staff remaining with Röhm.
“Our cooperation with GETEC is an important step forward for us in our efforts to further increase the efficiency of our site in Worms and to continue investing in a sustainable supply of energy in the future. We will remain the operator of the energy plant and can also benefit from GETEC’s expertise and technology as a leading energy service provider”, says Hans-Peter Hauck, COO of Röhm GmbH.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to implement this project with a prestigious company like Röhm and to invest in the sustainability and increased efficiency of the Worms site. The two companies share the common goal of significantly improving the site’s ecological footprint in the years ahead. With this partnership, GETEC is establishing itself as the leading industrial park operator in Germany and as a contracting specialist for the chemical industry”, says Dr. Thomas Stephanblome, CEO of the GETEC Platform Germany.

The partnership between GETEC and Röhm seeks to modernize and optimize the plant’s supply of energy and media, including natural gas, electricity and water, with the ultimate goal of sustainably developing the site. Together, GETEC and Röhm will apply their outstanding expertise in engineering and sustainability to steadily reduce the ecological footprint while maximizing the performance of the energy supply.
