GETEC PARK.SWISS continues successful course
RN Laboratories decided to locate in the chemical competence cluster in Muttenz
With the Indian chemical company RN Laboratories, another globally active company has settled in GETEC PARK.SWISS within a very short time. RN Laboratories AG is taking advantage of GETEC PARK's ideal connections and excellent infrastructure to further expand its presence in Europe and is building a 2,000m² production and storage facility in Muttenz.
The construction work was kicked off today by Nitin Garg, Owner and Technical Director of RN Laboratories Group, together with Dr. Guido Zimmermann, CEO of GETEC PARK.SWISS AG, with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony. Due to protective measures, the event took place only in the presence of the closest project participants.
The RN Laboratories Group, founded in 1996 in Gujarat, India, has been producing Chlorhexidine Digluconate in India and the USA and is the world market leader with exports to more than one hundred countries. Chlorhexidine Digluconate has an antimicrobial effect and is used in dentistry, cosmetics, wound care and skin disinfection. GETEC PARK.SWISS provides the company with an ideal logistical link for supplying its European and international pharmaceutical customers, trimodally by road, rail and water. The production capacity of the new facility to be built is 10,000 tons per year.
Dr. Guido Zimmermann, CEO of GETEC PARK.SWISS, welcomes the arrival of another global market leader: "With the RN Laboratories Group, we have been able to attract another important manufacturing company to GETEC PARK.SWISS. RN Laboratories now stands alongside Novartis, Syngenta, Clariant, Bayer and BASF. Once again, we have been able to demonstrate the industrial park's status as THE central infrastructure service provider for the life science and chemical industries in Europe."
Urs Haller, Site Manager of RN Labs, is pleased about the entry into the active construction phase: "GETEC PARK.SWISS offers an excellent environment for lean production: the complete park infrastructure with energy supply and waste disposal, certification as an incident site, the know-how of the employees, a benevolent regulatory environment for approvals and levies. RN Laboratories will be able to operate very well here."
RN Laboratories is investing in a modern and fully equipped pharmaceutical manufacturing facility to produce efficiently and to the highest quality. To this end, the company will employ eight people at the site.
